January '17

Guess who's back with her monthly update after such a long time? Me, yes.๐Ÿ˜Š

The beginning of January was really bumpy and sad, but hey, let's focus on the great days. Despite the gloomy sometimes heartbreaking days, I would say January 2017 was pretty splendid thanks to good company, good foods and good books.

Dinner with Michelle
5th January 2017;
As soon as I got back from London, I finally went out for a dinner with my girl, Michelle after few months. She also bought me a bunch of great things for Christmas and because I was feeling under the weather for the past couple of months, she bought me two Gerard Cosmetics liquid lipstick, a Colourpop liquid lipstick, a MAC single eyeshadow, a MAC lipstick and a Colourpop blusher! I was so stoked when I opened that box and her letter definitely made me tear up. She printed pictures of me and.. I just love it so much. I'm never throwing that card away, I'm really touched.

I'm so happy to have this girl as my best friend, gotta love friends like this. Michelle, if you're reading this, thank you for being here for the past 17 years, here's to forever!✨

6th January 2017; The next day, I went on a trip for few days. It was a calming healing trip, I went to a crocodile farm (lovee it), went shopping and all that shizzle.
The only snapstories I posted throughout the trip:

10th January 2017
After a long day out getting ready for the future, I came home to a tiramisu cake from another childhood best friend, Puteri. She came and gave me the biggest tightest hug, it's been so long since I met or talked to my squad, the last time I met them was on the last day of school, it's been over three months with Puteri and I've been quiet ever since. When Puteri came on that day and gave me tiramisu, it was out of the blue but it definitely covered my heart in kisses. Thank you Puteri.๐Ÿฐ

11th January 2017
I went out to watch the first movie for the year, A Monster Calls. I waited for months to watch that and everything about it is brilliant, it's probably the best novel adaptation I've seen so far. From the cinematography to plot to cast, everything's perfect. When I read the book years ago, I never realised how deeply moving and sad it is until I watched the movie and the plot hit me deep inside my feels because it's half of what I'm going through right now. It's really sweet, and sad, and eee I love it.๐Ÿ’•

Plus, the screenplay is by Patrick Ness, the author himself. So, you know the plot will be exactly like how you imagined it to be (if you read the book). Long story short, it's great so please please please watch it, you won't regret.

Another date with Michelle and we went to Midvalley! Believe it or not, I've never been to Midvalley. Okay maybe I did but when I was around 4-5 years old, I honestly couldn't recall anything. The only mall I'm completely familiar with is One Utama.

It was a good day with her, of course and she also got a new bag from Tory Burch✅

You know I always have to take pictures of penguin.
I see a lot of Totoro merchandise these days!

I went on my second date with Carlyan! It's crazy how fast we click, we spend pretty much everyday talking about desserts and trips. It's only been two months getting to know her but it feels like forever.✨

I took the bus for the first time in Malaysia with Carlyan and ate korean food after such a long time. I've never tried Korean BBQ before and that'll probably be our next date. It's pretty hard to find halal korean bbq. I mean, it's not completely korean bbq without soju and pork right? so zz okay nevermind.

19th January; I bumped into Aneeta! My best friend in BU3 until a stupid fight happened but ok whatever lets not talk about that. Someone called my name then she heard it and turned back and saw me and I saw her too and we both went ๐Ÿ˜ง๐Ÿ’• and yeah it was a sinetron moment. We talked for only 15 mins but it was a packed 15 mins update on life. We've been planning to meet since October last year but both of us have been busy with other plans but definitely next month!

I love taking candid photos of the people I treasure.
Guess what, reunited with Arina after 5 years!❤ We were the best of friends in form 1 until she transferred to another school. It was only for few months but we practically spent every moment together back then and I still remember how hard I cried during her last day in BU3 lol. After she moved, that's when the loner Husna started to kick in, until I met Aneeta, Almas, Tessa, Allysha, Amanda, and Aishriah towards the end of form 2.

Anyway! Reuniting with Arina was so joyful, there wasn't a single moment where we felt awkward and we talked about how things changed in BU3 after she transferred, her friends in her school, and everything. I mean, 5 years worth of story, how cute. It was also a day before her birthday so hooray I treated her to a great ass burger, KGB.

I can eat burger everyday.

3 days after; meeting Mona!❤
I went out and decided to dropby Hamleys to meet Mona and Farhana at work because it's been forever since I last met these two lovelies. Mona saw me and immediately cried as she hugged me lmao I wanted to slap this girl hahaha she cries in every occasion, I don't know what should I do with this girl. "It's been so long" "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" "What have you been doing?" as if we last met in 1897 haha I was really happy when I met her. Sadly, I didn't get to meet Farhana because she just went out for her break at that time and I had to rush. Sigh, I can't wait to meet the others soon.

That night, we celebrated my sister's birthday๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿฐ Happiest birthday to my soulmate, my best friend, my best support, my sister, everything nice and evil, Haifa Nabila.

Arina again!
Another date with Arina to do second part of catching up! She wanted to go for a dessert date so we decided to go for lunch at Boat Noodle since I was craving for it and then Haraju-Cube in one go. It's at the same place anyway.

Multiple pictures of Haraju-Cube because their bomb honey toast + bomb lighting.

I actually spent 1 hour editing only this, you have no idea what I did.
It's safe to say that January 2017 was a good start for a fresh new year although there were definitely really dark days but hey, we all go through bad days. It's inevitable as humans.

To wrap this up, Happy Chinese New Year and may February be a great month for everyone.✨

xoxo,
Husna Anith
